Artist Statement

A sense of spaciousness, and attention to detail were important to me; this is why I chose painting as my primary medium complemented by my regular practice of working with music, photography, and drawing. Rooted in global art history, multicultural experiences and the rhythm of sunrise, heartbeats, waves, and the cycle of seasons, my artistic approach rests on this fundamental natural context and the specific characteristics of each unique color and brushstroke.
